In the long history of producing ocean vessels few have challenged traditions, or questioned the assumptions on which boats are generally built, quite like Allura Marine. This is especially true of the Allura 55 Power Catamaran, a boat rich in innovation.
After years of studying boat and vessel characteristics in all types of sea conditions, company director, James McCulloch partnered with renowned multi-hull designer Bob Oram to create the specialised design for the Allura 55.
The team spent two years in the design stage, specifying only the highest quality and standards of material to create an efficient hull shape of minimum weight to give outstanding fuel economy, without sacrificing strength and safety. Construction on the boat commenced in February 2007.
In September 2008, the Allura 55 will grace the waters of Australia. Showcased at the Sanctuary Cover Boat Show in May 2008, this unique vessel will become the standard by which all others are judged.
The Allura 55 boasts a fuel economy that is simply unbelievable, without sacrificing performance, strength, safety or manoeuvrability. Whether taking the family for a week in the Whitsundays or Marlin fishing in the open ocean, the Allura 55 will perform beyond expectations
The class and quality of the Allura 55 truly does justice to the company's slogan of "the attraction of excellence". It is fully equipped with all the latest technology including Furuno's hardware and the award winning NavNet MaxSea software complimented with the 6' open array Furuno Radar Sensor.
The look, feel and extras such as air-conditioning on the flybridge and main salon and a Sony entertainment system with DVD and 32" LCD TV make this vessel a luxury craft without the hefty price tag of others in its class.
The Allura 55 is the first of a new range of Australian-made boats from Allura Marine that could change the way vessels are constructed. Plans are already in place for 40', 60' and 75' vessels as part of the range.
